Fee Schedule

The Garden of Words, L.L.C. is a one-stop shop for dynamic copy, eye-catching design, and printed marketing collateral.  Included below are some most commonly requested services and their fees.  We do provide custom quotes for each job.  The payment terms are listed below the services menu.  If you would like an individual quote, or need services not listed here, please email Katie at katie "at" thegardenofwords "dot" com

Individual Services

Custom E-Newsletter Template:  $250

Custom Twitter Background:  $75

Ghost Twitter or Facebook management: $250 per month, includes weekly "specials" or contest

Business letters: Between $75-$150, depending upon length/subject matter

E-Newsletter: including copy written without outside interviews and  pictures:  $275 per newsletter, up to 600 words.  Additional interviews with outside sources are $75/each, in addition to the newsletter.

SEO Website Copy:  $100 per 300 words or per page (if under 300 words)

Blog posts:  The Garden of Words has a three-tier blog post fee schedule 

First tier:  300 words, one picture, blog written by staff copy writer  $30

Second tier:  400-500 words, one picture, blog written by Head Copy Writer, $75

Third tier:  600-800 words, two pictures, blog written by Head Copy Writer, or an expert blogger in your industry field $100

Ebooks:  $3,500 per for up to 10,000 words, includes 30 stock photos

Press releases:  $100 each

Administrative work, writing work not included in project estimate: $65 per hour

Long-Form Sales letters:  $450 per 1,500 words

Short-Form Sales letters: $300 per 750 words

Database research and upload: $5 per entry

Tri-fold brochure including design, stock images, and copy:  $500

Post card including copy, design, and stock images:  $300

Website building: $75 per hour, full website packages quoted on a custom, per-project basis.

Stock images: quoted per image.  Stock image prices are changing rapidly.

Referral Program

The highest compliment my clients can give me is a recommendation to their friends and business associates to use my services.  If any of my existing clients refer a new client to me, I will give both parties some complimentary services, or a discount as a thank you. 

Payment Terms

  • All packages and projects include two revisions.  Additional revisions will be billed at $65 per hour for revision time, with a minimum of two hours billed.
  • The Garden of Words accepts payment through PayPal, check and money order.  
  • Each project, unless otherwise specified, requires a 50% downpayment before work commences, 25% after delivery of first draft and 25% at the conclusion of the project.  If the project is canceled by client after initial downpayment is made, the downpayment will be forfeited to the Garden of Words, L.L.C. 
  • All invoices are due upon receipt. Payments received more than 30 business days after invoice has been emailed will be subject to a late fee of $10 per day that the payment is past 30 business days. PayPal invoices are due within 5 business days of invoice.
  • Work sent for review will be invoiced after 30 days if the work has not been re-submitted for editing, or declared complete by the client.
  • Rush work with less than 48 hours turnaround may be accepted, depending upon current workload.  A rush fee will be added to the final total, starting at a base fee of $50 and increasing depending upon the timespan of the rush and other commitments  during the time frame. Client will be notified of the rush fee up front, when rush work is accepted.
